Welcome! We offer meditation instruction and classes in Toronto. Learn how to live in the world with a compassionate heart and a clear mind. With yoga and meditation as tools, our classes and retreats will help you reduce stress and find peace, calm and joy.

As householders, parents, and people leading ordinary lives in the city, we believe it is possible to live within society and bring compassion and awareness into our lives. We believe that our society urgently needs to develop a thoughtful and ethical way to live. Meditation studies can help us develop wholesome and happy lives.

We celebrate a new book "Clear Heart, Open Mind" by Catherine Jetsun Yeshe, founder of FOH.

Many people have become interested in Tibetan Buddhist meditation but are unsure how to blend their Western viewpoint with Eastern thought.  Clear Heart, Open Mind speaks to the joys and challenges of this journey. The book offers clear and practical advice on how to work with the meditation practice of compassion. The author reveals how its force, once activated, can open our world to a place of joy and freedom. When we realize the deep interconnectedness of life, many of our perceived problems disappear.  See Books and Tapes to purchase.

Please help support FOH.  We are most grateful for donations that help us provide a special place of refuge in the heart of Toronto.  Donations support our space, dedicated teachers and our bursary fund. Donations may be made on line.

Volunteers needed!  If you have a few hours to spare to help out with the open houses, or to keep FOH running smoothly day to day, please email FOH! A great way to support others and build merit.
