We are a non-profit charitable organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency and run by volunteers. Our membership fees are tax deductible.
To participate in our classes and to help support our centre, there are 4 options:
1) "Drop-In":
-by donation (dana) into our donation bowl
- suggested amount $15-20
2) "Ten week" Memberships:
-allows participation in all our regular classes for a 10
week period
a) Adults: $125/10 weeks
b) Students/Seniors: $75/10 weeks
3) "Associate" Memberships:
-allows "out-of-towners" to support our centre from a distance
-$75/yr + $20/class attended
4) "Full" Memberships:
a) Adults:
i) $520 Paid in Full
(works out to approx $43.33/month or $10.83/wk)
ii) $560 paid in 4 installments
(ie $140 x 4 installments = $560)
b) Students/Seniors:
i) $300 Paid in Full
(works out to $25/month or $6.25/wk)
ii) $320 paid in 4 installments
(ie. $80 x 4 installments = $320)

Membership Period
The annual period for our "Full" and "Associate" Memberships begins from the date you you sign up and expires in one year.
"On-Hold" Policy
If someone is unable to attend classes for a month or more because of an extended absence or illness,
they may ask to have their membership and classes put "on hold" for that period.
Children under 18
Children (under 18) of "Full" Members share their parent's privileges at no extra cost. However when they turn 18 they must purchase their own independent membership.

All Members must agree to abide by our Code of Conduct in their relationship with Friends of the Heart, its members and activities.

By becoming a member you will be helping our centre keep its doors open. You will help us pay our rent and any underlying costs associated with the running of Friends of the Heart. You will also have the following privileges:
access to all weekly classes
able to attend retreats at members rates
use of our library
attend all Board and Committee meetings
able to vote at our Annual General Meeting
able to serve on our Board or Committees

Donations
We need your help in order to grow and expand. If you are in a position to provide financial support to Friends of the Heart please consider donating by
either Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer or PayPal. Alternatively, you can donate or pay your membership via bank transfer. This makes the process quicker and simpler. Please refer to the information under "Benefits of Membership" for our Bank Transfer information.
Please note that all donations are tax-deductible. With your help, Friends of the Heart can continue to provide teachings and a space where people can develop calm, peace, happiness and clarity.
Volunteering
Friends of the Hearts is run by volunteers and we can always use a helping hand. If you are attending a class, you can help by greeting new faces, answering the front doorbell, setting up mediation cushions, filling the water canister, and setting up the offering bowls. If you would like to participate in a more specific role, please speak with one of the teachers

for audio teachings, memberships and for other activities of Friends
of the Heart. You can use Paypal to make secure payments in your own currency.
