Bylaws

The current bylaws were created by a group of FoH members, who wanted to have the legalities of the organization reflect the principles of openness and clarity. Extensive thought was given to member rights and obligations. Bylaws

Constitution - Letters Patent

The organization was defunct - not active for a number of years, when the legal papers were passed on to us in 1992. The previous group had kept the legal papers current. It had been a meditation group who had members with a similar background to that of Catherine Jetsun Yeshe and with similar teaching activities to Friends of the Heart.

We incorporated in 1977, the charter was amended in 1985 & there was a formal name change in 1998 to Friends of the Heart--Society for Teaching, Exploration, Practice and Service.

The following are our minutes from recent Annual General Meetings.  Our philosophy is to be as clear and transparent as possible in our operation.  All members have access to all meetings of the Board and Committees and to all FoH records.  The Board Minutes are not on the website but are available at the centre.
